Graduated at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Berlin University of the Arts, Zhang Dingyuan won many piano competition awards including the Chinese Piano Competition and the first prize at the Chinese Piano Teachers Competition. She performed in China and abroad in major concert halls such as the Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Berliner Philharmonie and Konzerthaus Berlin. She writes about piano education in many renowned musical journals and recently published her new book ʺThe Interpretation of Piano Duet ”. Currently, she is the chair of the Department of Keyboard of College of Music at t East China Normal University in Shanghai.
